13 Sep Florida Hospital and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Announce Innovative Health Partnership
In a sea of pewter and red, Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced a new partnership focused on improving the health of the Tampa Bay community and beyond. The two organizations solidified the partnership by exchanging jerseys and white coats during the first of many community events planned this year. As part of the partnership, Florida Hospital and the Bucs will launch health initiatives designed to engage the community and transform places of work, home and play.
“We all know the best offense is a good defense and in health, the same rules apply,” said Mike Schultz, president and CEO of Adventist Health System’s Florida Region. “Florida Hospital has an important role to play in creating a healthier community. We are very excited to partner together in an effort to bring new health programs into the community.” Florida Hospital, which operates 23 hospitals across the state, will also become the exclusive hospital of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
